Whoo! Hooooo! This has been an extremely fruitful season for my company. However, I understand that every season in life is very different. It’s important to understand the season you are in in order to MAXIMIZE and get the most out of your time here on earth. There will be a times when you feel as if you are working tirelessly just to get the momentum going, then there are other times when you will be able to scale back and ride the wave, enjoying the fruit of your labor. Lastly, there are times when you are kind of caught between the two, not really sure which way you are headed… I have a story to tell about all three of the these seasons! I wanted to share with you on these different seasons because no one ever told me to expect these changes in business. I mean, I knew there would be changes, but I did NOT know how to respond to them…in a healthy way. So, instead I would just get really down and end up in a dark place until I came out…no fun at all.
Let me encourage you today. No matter what season you find yourself in today, be sure you understand that there IS purpose to what you do and what you have to offer (I’m sure you don’t even see the half of it yet either!) Be encouraged and know during those long nights, and packed days that your work is NOT in vain. You WILL see the fruit of your labor if you don’t stop. Here are simple steps to staying on TOP even when you don’t ‘feel’ on TOP’
1. Meditate Daily:This is your chance to quiet yourself and reflect on what you are doing and where you are going. This is my favorite time of the day because I am able to clearly see what I need to change or what I need to keep. Get quiet and listen.
2. Stay FULL: You MUST ‘feed’ your inner-man with good stuff. You are what you watch and listen to, right? So be very careful of your environment and be intentional about what you listen to, read, watch, etc. All of these areas feed into what will ultimately come out of you! Junk in… (you know the rest)
3. Enjoy Small Victories: Each day you have the option to look on the bright side of things or the not so bright side of things. Looking on the bright side requires you to have a perspective that keeps you focused on what’s going well. Always, always, always look at what you are learning, doing, and producing better than you were yesterday. Work on what needs to be worked on, but by no means should you wallow there…instead celebrate the baby steps!
